Owner, Sasha VanDenBosch, has spent the majority of her life in the travel and hospitality industry. While working with some of the top travel companies in the world, she took a leap of faith and started her own company doing what she loved… curating unforgettable travel experiences.
Throughout her life, Sasha has been known as the “go-to” for recommendations on the hottest new restaurants, off the beaten path destinations, and unique experiences. What services do you provide?
At VDB Curated Travel, we will manage as much or as little of your trip as you would like. We can handle all aspects including transfers from your home to the airport, flights, hotels, all activities, restaurant reservations, rental cars or private drivers, you name it, we can deliver it. If you are looking for someone to help with only one or two details of your trip, we are happy to assist with anything you may need.
Do you specialize in a specific destination?
At VDB Curated Travel, we specialize in African Travel (East Africa & Southern Africa). We pride ourselves on ensuring our guests have the most authentic and memorable experience, and is why VDB Curated Travel partners with the top travel companies throughout Southern and East Africa along with other destinations around the globe.
What does the planning process look like?
At the beginning, you will be sent a short questionnaire to fill out so we can better understand your travel style and expectations. Please be as honest and detailed as possible! This will help us prioritize what is important to you as well as ensure we avoid anything that would detract from your experience. We want to learn about your favorite trips, what you have dreamed of doing, and your overall travel preferences. Every client relationship is unique, and we will tailor the process to your needs every step of the way.
What are the fee structures?
When we work with a client who require multi-destinations, tours, transfers, etc. we charge a flat rate of $300 for our services. Other deposits are confirmed with our clients prior to starting the planning process and this can range from $300-$500 depending on the depth of booking. This deposit goes towards to cost of the trip once payment occurs. There is a small cost to book flights ($40 per booking) and this goes towards our partnerships and ability to review additional options available for air travel.
Do I need to use one of the preferred partners?
Not at all! We work with all types of accommodations and can work within your budget to find the perfect fit for your travel needs.
What if I miss a connection?
We are here for you. When booking your travel with VDB Curated Travel, we will manage all logistics from start to finish. We monitor your flights and if there are any issues we manage the conversations with the airlines directly on your behalf.
